GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR SOLAR PV SYSTEM

An efficient Solar PV system can provide a big portion, and sometimes all, of the required electricity during daylight hours - the amount of power generated by your system will depend primarily on the number of panels you have and the time of year.

Daily electricity usage patterns for Homes and for Businesses vary widely. All generated electricity may not get used and excess power can be fed back to the grid attracting payments from your provider per kWh.

However, given the difference between the price you pay and the price you receive, it is better to use the electricity you generate rather than take power from the grid.

  • Adjusting when you use energy during the day can increase usage levels and reduce bills.

On a Yearly basis, the power generated by your Solar PV System will vary significantly.   The amount generated in summer will be high while the amount generated in winter will be far less.

  • Installing as much Solar Panel surface area as possible increases the energy yield and savings / earnings.

To increase the level of Solar Power you use instead of taking power from the grid, storage can be added to your system.

With battery storage, home-generated electricity can be stored during the day and used when you need it.

A Diverter is also a great storage mechanism - it converts unused power to hot water.

  • Adding storage improves Solar Power generated usage and significantly reduces reliance on the grid.

To ensure you get the best from your SQ9 SOLAR PV system and to help you manage electricity usage, your system monitors all the daily generation and usage details you will need.  Your Project Manager will make sure you are fully trained on how it works.

  • Monitoring your system and usage will also help ensure you get the best from your system.
