GRANTS & FINANCIAL SUPPORTS FOR SOLAR PANELS

There are a range of Grants and other Government backed financial supports available to the Residential, Commercial and Agricultural sectors to support the installation of Solar PV systems.

Residential

Grants are available through SEAI to support the installation of Solar PV panels in homes built pre 2021. The max available grant is €2,100 broken down as follows:

Vat on Residential Systems

VAT on PV systems installed on Residential Property has been reduced to 0%.  This provides a potentially significant saving to homeowners and makes installation more affordable.

​

Home EV Charger Grant

ZEVI grants, administered by SEAI, offer a range of electric vehicle charging grants.  This includes a grant of up to €300 towards the purchase and installation of an electric vehicle home charger unit.

Commercial and Agricultural

There are a range of Government backed grants, supports and tax-efficiency measures available to the Commercial and Agricultural sectors to support the installation of Solar PV panels.

 

The Non-Domestic Microgen Grant (NDMG) provides grant support up to €162,600 broken down as follows:

    Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS)
